RSS: Really Simple Syndication
Chances are that you have been on a site on the Internet and noticed the RSS icon. Have you ever wondered what it does? Have you ever clicked on it to see what happens? Take a few minutes to view the following Common Craft video on RSS to help you understand the power of this little button.

It is a very simple way for you to tell your computer what information you want to come to you. You already have an RSS reader built in to your suite of GoogleApps. To get to it you will need to complete the following steps:
  1. Log in to Google using your Gaggle email.
  2. Click the "More" tab and select "Reader"
  3. Your account is pretty bare! Let's jazz it up a little!
  4. Let's add some breaking news. Go to www.foxnews.com
  5. You will find the RSS icon on the right side of the address bar. Click it. A page will come up that will ask which reader you would like to use. Select Google Reader or simply Google then OK. You will then be asked it you want to subscribe to it on your homepage (your iGoogle page) or the Google Reader. Select the Reader.
  6. Once you start subscribing to numerous sites you will want to manage them by adding them to a list. I will gladly show you how to do this individually. I don't want to overwhelm you!
